About Our Trust

Who We Are

Nambikkai illam, a Home founded by Mr. U. Sagayam I.A.S. when he was District Collector, Namakkal is functioning at Ladhuvadi village in Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu.

This Home provides shelter, food and education to the orphaned, semi orphaned and poor girl children. Currently 23 girl children aging from 4 to 18 are taken care of in this Home.

Our Vision & Mission

Our Vision

To establish a Trust for providing shelter, food, education, health, and other facilities to orphaned and poor children. The trust will function for creating a wholesome development of these children, so that they emerge as integral part of the society and as socially-responsible and valuable citizens of the country.
To inculcate the moral values propounded by the traditional Tamil ethics. It is envisaged to develop a rural ecosystem comprising of educated, morally sound, economically affluent and socially committed citizens.
To establish a Skill Development Academy and educational institutions that empower the inmates to lead an economically independent, self-sustained life in the long run.

Our Mission & Objectives

To shelter abandoned, deprived children by way of establishing Nambikkai Illam.
To run an orphanage, where by maintaining a house to provide the welfare of the destitute children.
To provide shelter, basic needs, health and educational facilities, social security to Destitute children without discrimination of caste, creed, religion etc.
To provide value-based education and moral counselling to the abandoned, deprived children.
To develop skills and build capacity to face the current life challenges.

To build right traits and character and make the children as responsible and valuable citizens of the Society and Nation.
To set up help desks for providing necessary guidelines and help them.
To act as a liaison body between the destitute children and society and will try to get the facilities provided by the government.
To mobilize funds through lawful means to carry out the above objectives.
And to offer what we can, thus enriching and strengthening the children’s total personality.
